Requirements

This position is for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Augen New Zealand team, in Auckland. You will be part of an exciting team composed of both local and offshore talent, working on a wide range of technologies for software projects across our NZ customers.

 This role suits a person who is passionate about understanding the customers business problems and eliciting functional and non-functional requirements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may see defining our client’s software requirements, collaborating with the development team and contributing to daily stand ups. At times you maybe needing to work directly with the client to help make key decisions in their requirements. You will find yourself frequently working in different business domains, understanding business drivers and their detailed software requirements.

 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Eliciting Software Requirements for our customer projects and communicating this with our development team.
  • Fostering a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within your team

You’ll have experience in:

  • Requirements capture, requirements management, functional specification compilation, business process mapping, user documentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Enterprise-level software development projects, preferably in Web, Mobile, Enterprise Integration and\or Desktop based solutions.
  • Full understanding of the SDLC.
  • Expertise with Agile development methodologies.

You’ll need to have:

  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • 5+ years’ practical experience in a BA role working on software projects.
  • (Preferable) Membership of the International Institute of Business Analyst (IIBA)
